Brochure Adventure

I don't know about the rest of you but I felt a little odd going in
hotels asking for brochures. I am sure the brochures were meant for the guests of the hotels so it almost felt like I was stealing them. I know that sounds peculiar but I was just a little uneasy taking up the time of the receptionist just to fulfill an assignment for class. Well, once I got over that uneasy feeling, or didn't and just sent my fiance in to do my dirty work, I found several brochures. The only thing was that I didn't find any hotels that had brochures for places that were not in Missouri. Which meant that half of the brochures I found were for places I had already been. My fiance suggested I visit a travel agency. But, being the procrastinator that I am, there was no time for this. Thus I have my brochures. Among my picks were, Meramec Caverns, Swiss Meat and Sausage Company in Hermann, Missouri (yeah I don't know either), Isle of Capri Casino in Booneville, MO, Isle of Capri Casino in Kansas City, MO, Fast Lane Classic Cars Inc., St. Louis Zoo, Hallmark Visitors Center (didn't know that existed), and Stone Hill Winery and restaraunt. So, those were my finds tonight. I think I would have enjoyed having some brochures from somewhere exotic but I guess Missouri will do. Oh, and I also got a brochure like Katy got with the attractions in Columbia but I don't have that in front of me right now. It did come in handy earlier when, after doing our brochure adventure, we could not find my fiance's wallet (he has a habit of misplacing it) and thinking he may have left it at the ARC when we were there I used the handy-dandy brochure and my cell phone and gave the ARC a call. (By the way. . . . It was not there, he found it in the console in the car where he had forgotten he put it. . . Men . . since you can't see my face right now I'll just let you know I rolled my eyes at that last part). See everyone, and their brochures, in class tomorrow, I hope someone found something more exciting than I did.

I found out that you linked to me because I use a service called Statcounter (www.statcounter.com). It's free, and you just paste a little bit of code and it tells you about all your visitors: their IP address, how they got to your blog, etc. One day I noticed that somebody came to my blog, and it said they came from yours, so I followed the link.

This sounds like a wonderful class. I hope you're enjoying it. I'm saying this without a hint of sarcasm.
