How young is too young to explain weather?
My past two days.
Geneivie: Can we go to the park?
Me: No Gen, it's too cold.
Gen: Why?
Me: Because it's winter and winter is cold.
Gen: Why?
Me: Because that is how it works.
Gen: Can we go to the park?
Should I have been more scientific about why it is too cold to go to the park?
Why, you might as is this important? It's not, I tried to find something intelligent and critical to write about and it's just not happening. Too much Barney?

It is my experience that kids just like to ask why to keep you talking, so you could have been as detailed as possible and she would have still had questions to ask. I suppose we all posessed that same unrelenting quest for knowledge at that age.
What a cute picture! I always like reading your stories about Gen. I think kids pick up early that asking why to every answer will confuse adults and they think this is funny. No answer would every be good enough. Luckily, they have such a short attention span at that age, if you give them a couple of seconds, they will move on to something new!
